What time can I arrive?

Arrivals are on Sundays from 3pm.


When do I have to leave?

Departures are on a Saturday no later than 10am. Please leave promptly so that we may thorougly clean and air the site. 


Can I park by my tent?

Cars will be allowed to park by the tents on arrival and departure days only (unless it's extremely wet).  For the rest of your stay ALL cars must be parked in the close nearby car parking area.


Can I pitch a tent, bring a caravan or motorhome?

Sorry no extras, this is a luxurious glamping experience, with plenty of room for all.   We also need easy access to all areas for maintenance and mowing.  

Can I bring a gazebo?

Yes you can this is a great idea to go outside your tent for shelter and cooking.

Is there electricity?

There is no electricity in the tent, they are lit by LED lights.  There is electricity in your B&B room and bathroom. You may find it useful to bring a torch/head torch.  

Where do we wash-up and get water?

The washing-up station is being modified so there is a barrier between each sink.  One washing-up person per unit at any one time.  Drinking water can be collected from here, water containers are provided.

Can guests come to visit?

Guests are very welcome during the daytime only.  No additional overnight guests are permitted.  If you are in breach, it may affect the return of your deposit.  Day guests will be required to register and may be required to complete a Covid track & trace health form (awaiting government guidelines).

Do I need bedding?

All bedding is provided, you will need to bring your own towels and tea towels.

What's in the kitchen box?

Most simple things are provided  for easy cooking and food prep.  Please see full list on the 'Your Stay' page.


What food do we need to bring?

We will provde the basic breakfast ingredients.  You will need the extra bits-butter, jam, cooking oil, salt, pepper and sauces.  Don't forget tea, coffee and anything else you would like to enjoy throughout the day.  Fridge space will be available.

How do I order my takeaway meals?  What if I have special dietary requirements?

We cater for all dietary requirements.  Once you have booked your stay, we will send you a welcome pack.  Included, you will find your menu choices to pre-order your meals and to advise of any special requirements.  You can also select your delivery time.

What if  I am late back can you hold my food?

If you would like to change your collection time, please advise us no later than 10am on the delivery day.  Otherwise your food will be delivered to your collection table at the original booked time.


Can I get food from anywhere else?

Many of our local pubs serve food (and currently also offer a takeaway service).  There is plenty of choice for everyday of your stay!

Is there a shop?

There is not a shop in the village, but you will find a local shop and post office in the neighbouring village of Yatton Keynell, our local Farm Shop in Allington 10 mins and supermarkets in Chippenham 15 mins.

Can I bring a BBQ?

Yes you can bring a BBQ - however disposable BBQs are NOT allowed

Is there a bar?

The Orangery Bar will be open 3 times per week - Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.  When the bar is open, only drinks purchased from the bar may be consumed.  The orangery is a beautiful covered space that can be used throughout the day and evenings when the bar is not in use.  There is also a traditional village pub within easy walking distance.

What payments do you accept?

Please pay for your holiday by BACS only.  Once onsite - we will accept contactless and card payment - NO CASH.

Do you allow dogs?

We have a percentage of tents that will allow dogs (1 very well behaved dog per tent  and must be kept on a lead).  Check availabilty before booking - additional £20 charge will apply.

Is the campfire available to everyone?

We have a natural campfire with logs to sit on.  There is plenty of space, please respect social distancing.  The campfire will be available and lit on Monday and Friday evenings only, and will be lit by our staff.  Guests are not permitted to light the campfire.  The campfire risk assessment and rules are posted by the site, water and sand are available for emergencies.  Keep children away from the fire and do not leave them unsupervised.

What facilities are on site?

We have a basic tennis court, football goals, cricket pitch and space for rounders and other outdoor activities.  You are very welcome to use the space.  For safety reasons, however, we are not able to supply equipment.  Room in the car?  Why not bring your bikes, scooters, swingball or similar and create your own bit of outdoor fun.

Can we use fireworks and Chinese lanterns?

We live in a rural area, be kind to the animals - no fireworks or Chinese lanterns allowed.

Can we have candles?

Safety first - sorry no candles.

Can I play music

You are welcome to bring small speaker units.  Please be kind to your neighbours and play at an ambient level, you never know when small people are sleeping.

Can I wear shoes in the tent?

For your own enjoyment please leave your shoes at the door.

Can I smoke?

No smoking in the tent and no smoking in the Orangery Bar/social area.  If you wish to smoke we will provide a sand bucket outside your tent.  Please respect other guests.


Upon arrival you will be issued with a cleaning pack to look after your own areas.  Our staff will not enter your private quarters during your stay, unless there is an extreme emergency.  Our staff will clean all communal areas as per the required guidelines.  Hand sanitiser will be available in communal areas.

Where do we put rubbish?

The rubbish bins are located in the car park.
