GRITTLETON ESTATE

37 acres of parkland, so bring your bikes, trikes, scooters, swingball, boules and your bats and balls - just DON'T bring your kitchen sink!  We've got a tennis court, volleyball pitch, football goals, basketball nets and even a cricket pitch.  Unfortunately we cannot supply equipment at the moment so you will need to bring it with you.

Within the village we have a great local pub (opening soon) and a village playground (also hopefully opening soon) and the village cricket pitch, so if you are lucky there may be a game or two, to enjoy.

For golfers and mini golfers we have a driving range and golf club only 5/10 minutes away.

THE CITY OF BATH

A vibrant contemporary culture with a rich history and heritage.  Full of unique coffee shops and restaurants. Lots of museums and places of interest including Bath Abbey, The Jane Austen Centre (enjoy a fabulous afternoon tea) and of course the Roman Baths.

ANIMALS & WILDLIFE

Longleat House & Safari Park, including jungle cruise, railway, adventure castle and koala creek.  Alternatively, Cotswold Wildlife Park or Bristol Zoo.  For something different try Slimbridge Wetland Centre.

LOCAL WALKS & VILLAGES

Castle Combe & Lacock are both stunningly beautiful local villages.  Enjoy a tranquil walk by the river and a coffee or something stronger!  Both villages have featured in many films such as Harry Potter, War Horse, Doctor Doolittle and Stardust.

Bourton on the Water - a charming English village, known as the Venice of the Cotwolds, situated on the River Windrush.

Westonbirt Arboretum - home to over 18,000 trees, beautiful parkland and walks.

The Cotswolds' countryside is never too far away from wherever you are.

CASTLES - HOUSES - GARDENS

You will be spoilt for choice!  Sudeley Castle, Berkley Castle, Chepstow Castle and Farleigh Castle are all nearby - why not take a picnic and travel a step further to the magnificent Warwick Castle.  There are plenty of House and gardens to choose - Bowood House is on the doorstep, with great gardens and a an outdoor adventure playground too.

WET FUN

If you love the water you will love the Cotswold Water Park, home to a multitude of water and aqua sports, it even has its own beach.  The Wave in Bristol, is an inland surfing venue -  surf on consistent safe waves all year round, with 1,000 waves per hour.  For something calmer how about the seaside and the pier at Weston-Super-Mare.  Even more relaxing, travel the Kennet & Avon by canal boat.

ADVENTURE

If that's not enough, how about Go Karting, quad biking, archery, zip wire, horse riding, outdoor laser combat games, or take a super car around the Castle Combe race track! Which will you choose?.......
